Upcoming Litters
We have exciting plans for the future of our breeding program. Jenna is expected to have a litter in late January or early February of 2025, with Bruno, our flashy sealed brindle, as the sire. A priority waitlist is available for this litter, consisting of individuals who have placed a deposit and are committed to getting a puppy from us within the next twelve months. Additionally, a general waitlist can be joined without a deposit, and we will contact those on it if any puppies become available. Jenna’s 2026 litter is planned and will be sired by a different stud. From our 2025 litter onward, all litters will be dual registered with the AKC and UKC, and all puppies from those litters are eligible to be registered in both.
Jenna’s health and wellbeing is our top priority. She undergoes annual, and sometimes semiannual health testing if deemed necessary. With that in mind, if she’s in the same pristine health condition she is currently, a farewell litter is tentatively planned for 2027. If not, we’ll deem whichever previous litter as her final one. When that time comes, Jenna will be spayed and kept as our beloved pet, enjoying her retirement. We intend to keep a puppy from the 2026 litter because we are confident in the pedigree, temperament, and health of Jenna’s puppies, rather than starting over with a new line. Looking further ahead, if all goes well with the new addition to our program, our next litter is planned for 2028.
In 2024, we had two breeding females, Jenna and Murphy. Murphy had her first and only litter in September 2024. While the nine puppies were beautiful, we decided that Murphy was better suited for endeavors other than whelping, and she was spayed in November 2024. She has always been a travel companion, but since her retirement she’s traveled to ten different states, seen the mountains, snow, and has so much more on her horizon. Bailey, our new brindle addition, was originally intended to be Jenna’s successor as a breeding female. However, after health testing, we determined that Bailey was not a suitable breeding prospect, and she was spayed in December 2024. Despite our focus on breeding, our dogs’ lives are so much more than whelping, as they are cherished members of our family.
